Do you sell pre-made face masks?

Unfortunately no, we do not sell pre-made face masks. We are a fabric store and sell most material needed to sew your own.

* We are unable to recommend where or who you can purchase fabric face masks from. There is no way to guarantee the effectiveness of fabric masks and we are not affiliated with anyone sewing and selling fabrics masks.

Do sell or can you recommend any patterns to make face masks? What materials should I buy?

Because we are a fabric store and do not have the medical qualifications to make any recommendations related to health and safety, we do not sell or recommend any patterns for face masks, gowns or other PPE. 

Do you have a physical storefront?

We have a physical storefront! Our family owned and operated store has been proudly servicing Western Canada from the heart of Abbotsford, British Columbia for over 26 years. 

Are you open for in-store shopping during the pandemic?

Please see our store hours for information about shopping inside our store. We have several safety measures in place to keep you, our team and our customers safe while shopping in our store during a pandemic.

Will this affect my online order? 
Our physical store closure does not affect the processing and fulfillment of online orders. We will remain open for free storefront/curb-side pickup. Please see our Order Pickup Hours. Will be processing orders as they come in.

Do you offer a Storefront Pickup option?

Yes, we offer FREE Storefront/Curb-Side Pickup at our Abbotsford storefront.
You will be given the option to pickup your order from our storefront on the checkout page prior to order payment. Select "I will pick up my order from store."

For our local customers, we are happy to offer a curb-side pickup option. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup. When you order is ready, please see our store's Local Pickup Hours for more information. 

*No need to wait in line for an order pickup. Give us a call when you arrive and we will bring your order out to you.

Can I order now and pickup much later?

Most definitely yes! Order now and pickup much later.
We encourage everyone to do their part by practicing social distancing and staying at home.

Not a fabric emergency? If you would like to avoid shipping costs and you would prefer to pickup your fabric order at a later date, please let us know. We will keep your order safe for you in the mean time.

How long will it take for my order to be processed?

Orders will be processed and fulfilled from our store in Abbotsford, British Columbia within 1-3 business days.
As our business (temporarily) shifts 100% to online shopping, we will remain open to process your online orders only. Processing time may vary based on high order volumes.

As this is a newly launched online store, please be patient with us. We love fabric as much as you do, and we are doing our best to continue to serve you better.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

All orders are shipped via Canada Post and are estimated to arrive in 2-7 business days, and come with tracking details.

Small orders under 500g and 2cm in height are shipped via Canada Post Lettermail and have no tracking or insurance.

In-Store Pickup orders will be processed and ready for pickup within 1-3 business days. We will notify you with more details when your order is ready.

What types of payment do you accept?

Online: We accept Visa and Mastercard
In-Store: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interact Debt and all Canadian currency.

Note: Contactless payment methods are encouraged during the pandemic to prevent the spread fo COVID-19. You will be able to tap your Visa and Mastercard up to $250 per transaction and $100 for a purchase made with Interact Debit.

Can I pay using e-transfer?
We are a business and we do not accept personal e-transfer as payment.

What is your return policy?

All SALES ARE FINAL. What is cut can not be uncut.
Because of the nature of our business, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

If we have made a mistake on your order, or if you have received damaged fabric or fabric with obvious flaws, please contact us at contact@overseasfabrics.com. We will do our best to resolve the problem.

Is there an order minimum?

What is the minimum yardage or metres I can have cut to order?
For most fabrics, the minimum order quantity is 1m (unless otherwise stated). Our fabrics are sold in ¼ metre increments cut continuously from the bolt.

We are a proud Canadian company and we sell fabric by the metre (1.09 yards).

Do you accept special bulk orders?

I need more than your website has in stock.
Yes, we welcome all special bulk orders of a full bolt or more. Please use our contact form to contact us for more information or give us a call during our store hours. We will do our best to accommodate.

Do you ship fabric in pieces?

Can I order multiple cuts of the same fabric?
No, we understand the importance of one continuous piece of fabric. When this isn’t possible, our customer service team will contact you to discuss your order details before your order is shipped.

Do you offer wholesale prices for designers?

Can I get a discount?
Our prices are based on an Everyday Low-Price Model to keep our fabrics affordable for everyone, always.

When do you restock?

The fabric that I want is sold out. When will be be available?
If the item is sold out, contact our customer service team and let us know how many metres you are looking to purchase. Simply click the “Notify me when restocked” button and fill out the form. You will get an email when this product becomes available again. We will look into prioritizing the restocking of that fabric. The restocking of seasonal or limited quantity fabrics may vary.

Do you carry this item?

I cant find what I'm looking for on your store? Do you carry it?
Our team at Overseas Fabrics is working hard to build our online store. We are loading hundreds of products everyday. If you are unable to find a specific item on our online store, please feel free to contact us or give us a call during business hours.

Do you sell fabric swatches?

Do you ship samples?
At this time, we are unable to offer fabric swatches.
